New FPHL Baton Rouge Franchise Brings Back Kingfish Name

The FPHL's Baton Rouge Zydeco folded after the 2025-26 season and now a resurrected Baton Rouge FPHL franchise has brought back the city's familiar Baton Rouge Kingfish name. The original Baton Rouge Kingfish played in the ECHL from 1996 to 2003 and now the new FPHL team (under new ownership) will carry forward the Kingfish name. The story is here.
