Former NHLer Michel Petit Bringing ECHL Franchise to Houston

Before the NHL gets to Houston, former NHLer Michel Petit is part of a group that is bringing an ECHL to the Houston area. An 8,000-seat arena is planned for an area north of I-45 and just south of The Woodlands and will be the home of the ECHL franchise. The team could start play as early as the 2028-29 season.
