Tom Fitzgerald is out as the general manager and president of hockey operations of the New Jersey Devils. There's more on that here. Could former Devils and NHL star Brendan Shanahan be the one to replace Fitzgerald? Shanahan spent 11 seasons as president of the Toronto Maple Leafs, so he certainly has the experience to step into a top executive role with his former team.
