Ron Francis To Vancouver Canucks As General Manager?

The noise around the Vancouver Canucks suggests that Patrik Allvin could soon be out as general manager and a landing spot for him could be the Minnesota Wild. There's more on that here

If Allvin exits, could Ron Francis enter? Francis was a long-time general manager with both the Carolina Hurricanes and Seattle Kraken, with a stint as president of hockey operations this past season with Seattle. The link to Vancouver for Francis runs through Jim Rutherford. Francis worked with Rutherford for several seasons in Carolina and eventually took over as general manager from Rutherford of the Hurricanes. Ron Francis could be hired as the general manager of the Vancouver Canucks now and eventually assume the president of hockey operations title from Rutherford, when the time comes for Rutherford to enter retirement.
