15 year-old Kade O'Rourke is seeking exceptional status in the OHL. If granted his exceptional status, it would allow the American defenseman to play in the OHL a year early. The Oshawa Generals have the first pick in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection Draft and if O'Rourke is picked by the Generals, it would keep him playing within the Greater Toronto Area. O'Rourke moved to Toronto at the age of 11 to play in the GTHL. The story is here.
