NHL legend Ron Francis became available as a managerial candidate on Wednesday, as he stepped away from his role as President of Hockey Operations with the Seattle Kraken. With a resume that includes 23 years as a player and 20 years in managerial roles (most of which were as a General Manager), the Toronto Maple Leafs need to hire Ron Francis right away as their President of Hockey Operations and General Manager. It doesn't take a search firm to realize that Ron Francis is the best candidate available for both positions. All hockey decisions should end with an executive as experienced as Francis, without interference from above. The story on Francis' departure from Seattle is here.
